Android 5.0 Lollipop (Lemon)

Sounds like a dud.
I just Googled Android 5 and Nexus.
Interesting but not exciting reading.
Hope they get it fixed soon.

Also have a Nexus 10 and updated to 5.0. No problems with wifi at home, haven't tried in the outside world yet. But, mail is now called Gmail, an app. Quite a mess the first time I looked, my gmail account is not my primary e-mail, old mail messages (I'm sorry "conversations") were displayed instead of current ones. Disabled it but discovered for now, anyway, accessing my primary email account was going to be time consuming. Revived it and current messages appeared.

Managing messages IMHO is harder now. Seems you can't delete an unopened message just by swiping once and the default setting seems to be sending deleted messages to an archive as well as your trash. Also unclear if Google is scanning messages and attachments from other email providers in order to send targeted ads.

So I'm managing my e-mail on my PC for now. Open the ones I want to read on the tablet. Do most of the deleting, read and unread, on the PC again.

Google wants you to live as much as possible in their world I think.

I have an original Nexus 7 and the 5.0 update has rendered it so slow and crash prone as to be useless.

I get that these devices have a predetermined life cycle, but it frustrates me that the strategy seems to be to "euthanize" them via bloated update.

My Nexus 7 also runs like a slug after the last update. Grrrr.

My S5 with kitkat 4.4.0 from June has since upgraded to 4.4.4 and it is very quick and hasn't sputtered.

My son cracked my Droid X and loaded it with kitkat 4.4.4 and now it is a Super Droid X

Have not been impressed by what I've read about lollipop 5.0

😉
