Does anyone know if the 2018 OEM version is going to be an AutoCad update also or will it still be AutoCad 2013. I currently have 2016 which is AutoCad 2013 and I noticed that 2017 was still AutoCad 2013. Just wondering about 2018 and if we will actually get any new AutoCad features or just the ability to save to a newer version.
I am trying to decide whether I should continue with the OEM version or go back to intellicad now that I have seen first hand that the crashing issue has been fixed.
I think I paid about $1700 to move to the OEM version and it will be like $900 to go to 2018. I moved from Intellicad to OEM version last year, a few months later 2017 came out, but I didn't get the update since there appears to be no maintenance for the OEM version. It don't make any sense to me since the version of AutoCAD remained the same and the only improvements were Carlson's. It's probably a license issue with AutoDesk.
I just did install of 2018 and I think it is still saving to 2013
I don't know anything about the OEM version, but I do know that regular AutoCAD does use a different file format for the 2018 version.
