I am sad to report that Richard A. "Dick" Chesebro passed away in his home in Klamath Falls, Oregon, Monday evening, January 9, 2012. Dick was a registered Professional Land Surveyor in Oregon, Idaho, and Washington and a Certified Federal Surveyor (CFedS). He was a member of the Professional Land Surveyors of Oregon.

I first met Dick around 1980 while I was working on boundary contracts around while he was a Forest Service surveyor with the Siuslaw National Forest in western Oregon. After leaving the Forest Service, he and Evelyn Kalb formed Chesebro & Kalb to continue their surveying careers.

A memorial service is planned with more information being available later.

Dislike. 🙁

May God put His loving arms and comfort around his family and loved ones. May he rest in peace and have a good time doing "Heavenly" surveys with the rest of our dearly departed guys.

I have immense respect for Dick as a man and as a surveyor. Truly a loss for those that knew him and a loss to the surveying community as well. My prayers are with Evelyn.
