I heard that Ken Barnes has passed. I've followed some of his work around Terlingua and swapped a few emails with him regarding the work. He was quite an interesting character and was not a registered surveyor. It is my understanding that County Surveyors in Texas were not required to be registered until the 1970s and that is when Ken could not run for the office again. I tried to meet him when I was working down there, but he was under the weather and never made it out to the porch while I was there. I bet he had some stories.

Ken Barnes,?ÿAugust 4, 1941 - March 14, 2019...Father, Friend, Brewster County Surveyor, Rio Grande River Guide, Respected Dinosaur Enthusiast.?ÿ He looked into the light and saw Joee May.?ÿ He decided to stay.?ÿ Memorial to be announced.?ÿ
