I'm sorry to hear that, Alan. That sounds like a gob of history and a great person.
Numbers 23:10
Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his!
Note you were and honorary pallbearer. Is W. A. a brother?

Father. At least that's what mom always claimed. 🙂
Wilbert Aloysius?? That would make W.A. a very likely shortening excuse.
Just kidding, Alan. Wish my Dad could come back for a day to tell me some stories.
So sorry to hear of Joe's passing. I haven't seen him in several years. Always enjoyed visiting with him at the association meetings back when I had time to go.
James
Joe was a uniquie character and there are some ways I remember certain things because of little things he said (ten million on top and 3 million on the bottom let him know he was NAD83 in SPC Central Zone). I look at them like that to this day. Sorry I won't be able to attend @Alan Cook, but the old man is en route.

Take care, brother. We will get together again some day.
