He got sick.
This thread explains it all. 🙁

So sad to hear this. The human body is tough in many ways, but can also be so fragile.
Rest in Peace, Richard.

That link goes to this same thread. Still don't know what happened. Sorry to hear it.

That's weird. I just checked it and it goes to the original Sinc in the hospital thread. Hmmm...Anyhow...this is what happened from what was posted:
Sinc was found unconscious in his home. As best anyone can tell, he'd been there 2-3 days (he lives alone and it was Thanksgiving week in the US). The doctors still think his liver was affected by a combination of medications he's been taking. It started producing ammonia that was released back into the body which clouded his brain...this probably explains why he hasn't been very active online for some time now. The liver is normally able to regenerate itself, but I guess it has been damaged to a point where it is either unable to do so or is doing it very slowly.
And due to his time with no food or water before he was found, his kidneys also started their shutdown mode. They appeared to have returned to normal function but his liver had stopped responding to treatment, and the enzymes were saying he was at the 19% survival level.
On Dec 18th, doctors told Sincs dad they don't expect Richard "Sinc" to make it through Christmas. He passed away later that evening. :'(
How terrible! Seemed like a great guy. So sad to hear.

My word, that's tragic. He was a good guy and I hope he was perceptive enough after being found to recognize the sweet embrace, love and encouragement of friends and family before he died.
