I have Word 2010 and on some of my documents the spell ckeck is on and works and on the others it does not. Also if I manually do a pell check it it only ckeck the upper part of the document.

Anyone have any ideas on how to get the spell checking active on all documents?

Thanks

You can go to the "File" tab, then "options" then "Proofing" I think it's called and set some of your spellcheck settings. The "review" tab has a "proofing" section where you can click to check spelling and grammar.

If you're using those things and it's not working, I don't know.

I have had luck looking things up in the help, and it will often send you to the internet where you can find most problems.

(I don't know if I addressed your problem or not).

You might also want to check the language settings for your document.

If Word thinks it is, say, French, and you dont have the French dictionaries installed then Word will just ignore the spelling.

You might also note that Word has upteen different flavours of English (american, english, australian etc etc) each that have their own dictionaries

Call up Fonzie (Arthur Fonzarelli) and have him give your computer one of his magic punches. It always worked on the juke box at Arnold's.
