I was really shaken up this morning as I was robbed at a gas station in town when stopping for gas. After I stopped trembling, I called the police. They responded quickly, but my money by then, was all gone. When the police got there, they asked me if I knew who did it, and I said yes, it was pump #4.
?ÿ
I am really pumped by your fuel-throated humor. ?ÿSay it loud!
It stinks, but I have to say that it still doesn't match the stunned feeling I felt in summer 2008 when I went to fill up my dual-tank F250 survey chariot after oil rocketed to $130/bbl.?ÿ I was so busy working that I hadn't been paying attention to the news.?ÿ I could scarcely believe my eyes. ?????ÿ
Just wait until the price of Skoal and Copehagen goes up at the same rate.?ÿ Then we'll hear some serious surveyors moaning and wailing about.
?ÿ
BTW, saw a team photo of a women's junior college basketball team.?ÿ One of the players had Copenhagen as her first name.?ÿ Based on the photo, I would have never guessed she was from Denmark.
When you take into account that one gallon of gas is the rough equivalent of the energy output of 500 hours of human work, five bucks a gallon ain't so bad. That said I don't think anyone would be all that interested in pushing their half ton down the road.
