Wondering if anybody else is having the same problem? The battery in our data collector (Trimble TSC2) has malfunctioned and been replaced 3 times in the last 4 months. Took it back for the 4th time last week. We were told that Trimble has put out a recall on their batteries. Anybody have any info on that or are they just pulling our leg. Not Happy.
P.S. You would think that if you have an extended warranty on a product and Trimble is at fault for a malfunction of their product, that they may provide a temporary replacement free of charge? Nope.
Just had to replace mine 2 weeks ago for the first time in 2.5 years. It wouldn't work more than 1 hour in +20 def F weather. can't say I got to test it much as I had a heart attack:-O last Sat. Came to work today for the first time.
I would certainly go on ebay and pick up a cheap backup rather than be twiddling your thumbs waiting for trimble.
Trimble makes a good product, but their support and service has certainly gone downhill. I expect to look elsewhere when we need to replace our yellow stuff.
