Somebody was in a hurry and took the head for the antlers.

Problem is that they did not get any of the shoulder capes for a taxidermist to create a superior mount.

For that, they would use another deer and put this deer's antlers on it.

Otherwise, they will wind up with a neck mount that looks rather odd.

I've always found it rather strange to be looking at a young buck or a doe hide mounted on a mature deer mold with large antlers, it is just not right............

Well, it was a road kill. Game warden called me, and I went and got it. Game warden kept the head. I don't care. It's now 50# of boneless ground in the freezer.?ÿ

Recipie:

In oven bag:

10# ground deer. Mixed with salt pepper, 1 ounce olive oil, cayenne pepper, and honey. Make a bed out of the meat. Top with potatoes, carrots, and 2-3 apples. Place in cake pan, in oven, 1-1/2 hrs, @350 degrees.

No leftovers!
