They are going home but have to win both games to prevail.
Meanwhile they have wiped out any chances of my winning the pool.
Goodnight Irene.

And...have made Cardinal fans hearts around the globe ACHE. Including mine. 🙁 :'( :u: But..I rather see them lose to Texas than to the CRANKIES. 😛
My birdies are getting pecked to death!! Heal up and kick ass at home!!! :hi5:
Texas is HOT, though...been very fun to watch their team camaraderie. 🙂
Looks like it will be Texas in 6 or 7, or possibly St. louis in 7.
I hoping for Texas in six games. 🙂

It's going to be HARD for me to watch...and even HARDER if they go 7. I may just watch re-caps. Sigh... I'm sucha wuss!! :-/

My Rangers couldn't do it in 5, but it ain't over yet...BTW, I love the Cardinals...I have 2 bird feeders full of them every day. 🙂
Slow down a minute Tim.
In 1968, the Cards were up 3-1 with 1 game left in Detroit and 2 left in St. Louis.
In 1982, the Brewers were up 3-2 with two games left in St. Louis.
In 1985, the Cards were up 3-1 with 1 game left in St. Louis and 2 games left in Kansas City.
In 1987, the Cards were up 3-2 with 2 games left in Minnesota.
And finally, in 2004, the Cards were down 3-2 to the other team from Texas in the NLCS.
So, it is not unprecedented for a team to be up 3-2 and then go on and lose the final two games on the road.
Just askin', how much money is involved in the next 2 events, or should I say games...or a better way to look at it, how many times does it not go to 7?

VERY Good point, Tommy. I remember the 82, 85, 87, and 04 series...nail biters!! 2006 was a bit easier on my guts... 🙂
I would love to see a come back like the Diamondbacks pulled over the Yanks in 2001. That was one of the best nail biters (and games) I have ever seen, sans my Cards games. 🙂
Either way, I like the Rangers...great team and I'd be rooting for them IF they were not playing my  team. Let's Go Cardinals!! Win it at home, boys!!!
Tony La Russa Takes The Blame For Bullpen Error
But lays the caught stealings on Pujols for calling for the runner to take off, twice.

You do know who will win tonight based on my post...
> You do know who will win tonight based on my post...
Well...I dunno. 😐 But I do know that the series coming back to St. Louis is expected to generate over $9 million in income for the city, and it also keeps the city from furloughing employees!! I think that's awesome. 🙂

Yeah, that was a DUMB call IMHO. But both teams have been making a lot of boo boos. Now, there just is no more room for "boo-boos"!!! Especially for the Cardinals!!!!!!! :-O My boys MUST be near perfect the next two games... :hi5: :good:
Tony La Russa Takes The Blame For Bullpen Error
I wonder if La Russa is happy with his wife and daughter's comments.
The wife wasn't so bad..."Red birds vs. Rednecks".
But the daughter said "I saw a crackhead doing the Wash..." referring to how excited the Ranger's manager gets when they make a good play and possibly Washington's admitted use of cocaine.

Wow, that's not cool. Where did you read that? Tony needs to put a muzzle on their mouths. Hopefully Washington is NOT doing cocaine, but even if he was, it's not something to rib someone about. It's something you tell them to get help for.
Hopefully the "Redbirds Vs. Rednecks" was just in good humor. 🙂
Today I saw this prayer on the Cardinal Fan page...
Attention St. Louis Cardinal Fans, bow your heads and pray:
Our Father who art in Saint Louis, Baseball be thy game.
Thy will be done, the World Series will be won, on the field, as well as in the bullpen.
Give us this day our bat and glove, and forgive us our errors, as we forgive those who home-run against us.
Lead us not into defeat, but...help us BEAT THE Rangers. In the name of the fans, the rally squirrel, and the Cardinals... Amen. GO CARDS!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
