Have any of you experienced a significantly reduced phone signal in the past 6 months? It seems I am hard pressed to make a call nowadays because of a poor signal with frequent "out of service" areas where that should not happen.

I have been in towns and even in line of sight of cell towers and have zero bars. Several friends have experienced the same thing with poor service and dropped calls. One friend in particular drives right though Marietta, GA on his way home to Dallas he will usually call me to vent and shoot the excrement and he will usually have 2 or 3 dropped calls. This is a significantly populated area but for about 6 months now the cell service has gotten so bad it is difficult to make a call without having it dropped.

We all have speculated that it might have something to do with the 5G stuff.

Have any of you experienced poor service recently.

Once it was necessary to dial *26 or *something to update your phone's location into their network to apply the best tower location into your phone dialing's array of tower usage.

Now it is best to turn the phone off and then turn it back on to reboot the system and let the phone's system to do this task as it goes thru setup and such.

Then there is this summer's heat wave in full force and that is causing a meltdown of much of the phones ability to function properly as the motherboards that are in place to translate the signals into the differing codes necessary to communicate from optical to hard wiring and other usages are failing under the beyond operating temperature range environment.

I was in Texarkana BiState Justice building a few weeks ago as the driver of a friend that had a court appearance and my phone barely had bars as there were apparently "illegal" cell phone blockers turned on, who would have been doing that I wonder.

And yes to your question, I have encountered bad signals many times and even while my phone is in mode to use wifi when there is not a great cell tower signal.

I have also noticed a decrease in my cell signal as of late.?ÿ Even sitting at my desk, I now have only 1, maybe 2 bars, and only get calls or texts sometimes, even on wi-fi.?ÿ?ÿ My daughter's brand new phone gets terrible signal reception for a new phone.?ÿ I have no thoughts as to why, I just am of the opinion, I rarely use my phone as a phone anyways, but I do miss being able to check the weather whenever I want.

Thats interesting I am very close to Orlando and only have 2 bars, most of the time it's full at 4 bars. I am not experiencing any problems with calls, email, or texts.

I got rid of my cell-phone YEARS ago (and don't miss it one iota)! My Land Line is working perfectly, and the best thing about it, is that I can't hear it ring when I'm at the saloon, post office, bank, or grocery store (or fishing)!
