Got back Tuesday afternoon from our trip. Went to San Antonio for Middle Fle's Graduation from USAF BMT at Lackland.

MIddle and Me after the coining Ceremony.

Youngest, Middle, and Mrs. File.

Getting my Parent pin

AFter grad. we took the kind advice of everyone and laid out a short plan for the days

Did the Art Museum, Zoo, Japanese Gardens, Spanish Gov. mansion, River walk, ate at some place along the way there. Watched the fire works at Tower of the Americas, saw the Alamo. (more in tribute to those people than from any other reason), went to the market. Sea world, too - (Middle File is an animal lover)

All in all Really enjoyable-

Then drove to Pensacola to see Oldest File and his family

Oldest File with some of his gear-

There was a slight sprinkle while we were at the range-

watched the Blue Angels Live rehearsal- always cool....

went to the beach-

Cutest grandaughter in the world at the children's museum.

Had an anniversary dinner at the Fish house.

noticed this when I was pushing Granddaughter File around the block.
this was drilled and set on one of the concrete aprons around a sewer manhole.
The other points I found at the apparent intersections were all Aluminum caps.

Had a great time- now it's back to work.....

Nice post, you are obviously very proud and with good reason.

HOWEVER, your statement “Cutest grandaughter in the world" caught me by surprise because MY granddaughter is the cutest in the world. 😉

Have a great week! B-)

I dunno, File's Granddaughter is in the Children's Museum. She must be something special to be part of the Children's Museum. (Although I will admit to being surprised they have a living child. Most exhibits I have seen, the specimens are professionally taxidermied or in a jar of formaldehyde).

Pardon me while I list the obvious:
You have a lovely wife;
Children to be proud of;
Beautiful grandchild;
know how to enjoy yourself;
and last but not least, you eke out a living boundary surveying.
I salute you on a life well lived, sir.

File family resemblance

except for the youngest file in the mom and sis photo..I sort of see a quasi semi-smirk expresion on everyone in some of the photos and also displayed by the grand daughter file.
anyway good pics and your a good dad from the looks of all this. I am glad you had a nice trip.
The first picture is definitely shows that the apple does not fall far from the tree.
