The judge that released accused molester Jerry Sanduzky on $100,000 bail worked for Sandusky's charity "The Second Mile"
You will note from the title to the link that Penn State continues to pay Sandusky's pension, $58,898/year.
Worse than that, fired former Penn State Vice President Gary Schultz, who has been charged with perjury before the grand jury and failing to report suspected child abuse, receives a pension of nearly $331,000 a year.
How will anyone ever get justice in this state?

My wife is confident that it will come to light that the GA that witnessed the rape of the child was "payed off" with a position at the university. This whole thing is a long way from finished and I, for one, would transfer my kids out of there at the end of this semester.
Jobs depend on good behavior. Pensions aren't usually conditional on good behavior, at least behavior after vesting in the pension plan, but only on holding the job long enough to qualify.
and it will never end with a happy ending in Happy Valley.
The VP Schultz looks very despicable in this affair also.
As far as Asst Coach McQueary (former GA)) is concerned, it appears that he told the truth before the GJ. His actions are despicable also and his life is toast and somehow they will make him the face of this scandal while others will slither away under a rock somewhere. He was the home town boy who was raised in the PSU FB "family". All of his life, he did everything that was expected of him from his years as a PSU star QB and subsequent coaching duties. The PSU games that I have briefly viewed in the past years, I always thought McQueary was the 'chosen one' to follow JoePa. The TV cameras always turned to him on the sideline with his hyper actions and bright red hair. Especially when Joepa was lounging in a coaches box somewhere off the field due to his sideline injuries. You wonder about karma in regards to his injuries. But McQueary, It was his 'family' so to speak and one late one day he walked into the showers and saw his so to speak 'favorite uncle' raping a boy. He did not stop it but ran to tell his real dad, who told him to run and tell Joepa, the true patriarch in this matter. Then Joepa fumbled the situation by telling the PSU admin and no action was taken and he failed to follow up with action to protect victims. A cancer was found within the family and was not treated. The focus was to protect the institution and damn the innocent kids who were the victims.
The only positive is that child sexual abuse has been spotlighted and in the future and maybe many crimes will be prevented and the predators identified and dealt with immediately. as far as what dan posts, it follows the sceanrio . Thre was some thin white lines not to be crossed at PSU similar to the thin blue lines of police.
It seems that there are many from all walks of life who were involved in the Second Mile program. There have been comments that Sandusky's criminal behavior was known for years but was treated as rumor. I am of the opinion that there were dozens of people including police and DA people who had suspicions or even facts but none would step forward to challenge the PSU institution.
Also the timing of the scandal is suspicious to me as being controlled by the institution. Just a week after Joepa gets his named chiseled in the record books for all time coaching wins .
Name Comes Off Big 10 Trophy ...

The Big Ten has taken Joe Paterno's name off the Big Ten's football championship trophy.
League commissioner Jim Delany said Monday that it is "inappropriate" to keep Paterno's name on the trophy that will be awarded Dec. 3 after the first Big Ten title game.
Penn State fired Paterno, its longtime head coach, last week and investigations are under way into allegations of child sex-abuse involving a former assistant for the Nittany Lions.
The trophy had been named the Stagg-Paterno Championship Trophy. Amos Alonzo Stagg won 319 games in 57 years, most at the University of Chicago. Paterno's 409 wins are the most by a major college coach.
The trophy will now be called the Stagg Championship Trophy.

This firestorm is just getting started.
A lot of people will be in the spotlight for many years.
Maybe justified, maybe not, but this might be a rare time that the media press might just do some good.
Sick to my stomach here, but it is what it is.

Trophys (just like bridges, buildings and stamps) should not be dedicated to anyone while they are still living anyway.
Joseph Bruno, once the Speaker of the NY State Senate, is a perfect example of this.
There is at least one building named for Bruno in each of the fourteen towns and two cities that comprise Rensselaer County, New York (just across the river from Albany, the State capital), plus a minor-league baseball stadium.
In 2009, Bruno was indicted on eight counts of corruption, including mail and wire fraud. The indictment accused Bruno of defrauding the public from 1993 to 2006. During that period, he allegedly used his powerful position to help companies with business before the state and collected $3.2 million in private consulting fees. He was convicted on two counts.

Just wait until PSU also gets removed from the Big 10, as they no longer will be able to provide the revenue the conference needs from them as students/faculty/sponsors, etc all go elsewhere. They'll be like a community college in a few years.
Not to mention all the other mindless chaos that has prompted that action. So they'll just blame it on the money, so it appears PC.
No doubt they will be easy to replace and the transition will be seamless. MizzU would be a nice fit.

Those are just 2 youtube vids. whatever makes it to the news, is just the tip of the iceberg.
There is a real problem in this area, in this country.
It is no longer IF your kid meets somebody, that tries stuff, it is WHEN.

Now McQueary is saying he did break up the rape ... AND WENT TO THE POLICE ... WTF ... did the police really know about this? I'm assuming this is campus police since he says the university was in charge of the police ... so now McQueary has just implicated the campus police department in the cover-up.

> The Nov. 8 email from McQueary to a friend, made available to The Associated Press, said: "I did stop it, not physically ... but made sure it was stopped when I left that locker room ... I did have discussions with police and with the official at the university in charge of police .... no one can imagine my thoughts or wants to be in my shoes for those 30-45 seconds ... trust me.
