Winter this year, more like normal. We were spoiled the last few. The driveway had 2 foot drifts this morning. There is a 4 foot tall fence that you cannot see in this picture.

I think my wife would divorce me if we lived where that kind of weather was possible.

I wouldn't even know what to do with all that snow.

The Mrs. is from Wisconsin. She grew up in that kind of weather and sometimes it makes her a little melancholy. The other day she just sat and stared through the kitchen window for hours...

I finally let her indoors about sundown. :pinch:

That looks a bit like early November in the St. Joseph-Benton Harbor area of Michigan about forty years ago.

I came from a land where it snows, then it all melts away, then eventually it snows again. Michigan is a completely different world. The snow that falls about October 1 finally gets a chance to see the sun again in late April. You haven't experienced HellonEarth until you are in conditions where the snow is falling at a rate in excess of one foot per hour while the northwest winds off the frozen lake are in the 50-60 mph range and you are simply attempting to get to your job. You look off to the east across a small open field to see the huge can manufacturing plant with 20' sidewalls and you can't see it for the snow piled up against it. You pass a house just as two guys finish digging out in front of the garage door, it opens, and out comes a snowmobile. You are wearing a suit and tie with overcoat, fuzzy hat and rubbers.

Not trying to be political, but this guy gets it right more often than anyone else in the industry. Especially long range.
