A few decades ago I stayed in this place for probably 50-60 days a year working on some mine reclamation projects.
A bit of a shock to say the least, talked to a checker at the local store and she said no one was injured, all the guests were out. A couple of vehicles didn't make it, there is a pickup behind the sign that was destroyed.
You mean it DIDN'T look like that when you were staying there????

I considered staying there last fall, but they changed my work to the south site from the north site so I stayed at a motel 30 miles closer to the south location. It was never an expensive or fresh and new place but it is the only one in the little town, it's really going to impact that town, especially during the Sturgis Rally this summer.

I always heard it was a "Friction Fire". The mortgage payment got to rubbing against the insurance premium.

I've never stayed at one but, I hear they're like five times better than a Motel 6
