The media is putting way too much emphasis on the so-called 'pings' that one satellite was getting from the aircraft. I finally heard last night someone say that you need at least three satellites to get any sort of accuracy. (Surveyors already knew that). I personally believe that the data showing the aircraft to be off the west coast of Malaysia and the information that the aircraft went to over 40,000' and then descended to below 30,000 is just rogue GPS signals. One aviation expert stated that for a 777 to ascend and descend in the time it supposedly did would have ripped off the wings of the plane. The media keeps saying "We now know that this was not an accident". No one knows anything past the last contact with the pilots.
That's what I'm thinking RADU.
Except that they had a fuel tanker already at a remote airstrip, have refueled and are hiding half a world away. Where no one is looking.

I have not heard Uri Geller's name in quite awhile.
I did a grade school report on ESP many years ago and communicated with Uri via. snail mail. I'm not even sure how I was able to get his contact information back in those days without internet access.
There was also a famous lady that worked for Big Oil dowsing for wells all over the world. I have forgotten her name, but she was willing to give a phone interview, which I also included in my report.
Interesting people to say the least.
At this point I don't believe anything printed in the press, they seem to be using transponder and ACARS interchangeably in the latest report I read.
They say the ACARS was disabled but they have no way of knowing it was intentionally disabled but it was disabled before the pilot's last transmission.
Most of the internet blather is just fanciful speculating at this point.
Everyone knows it was landed on the surface of the sea and allowed to settle to the bottom of 200' of water and the cabin pressurization is keeping the water out.

This article from Wired makes lots of sense to me. Nothing complicated needed to explain the events.

Two things that don't make sense to me about the Wired article:
My understanding is that after the plane passed over the airport mentioned in the article, rather than continue on a path out to sea it made another roughly 100 degree turn to the northwest.
The NYT is reporting that it appears the original diversion from the flight path was programed into the navigation system rather than manually flown. If you were having catastrophic electrical failures on board, that doesn't seem like the way you'd change course
But I'm at home with my lower back problems acting up, and that may just be the Vicodin talking o.O
