They include the Red Rocks National Conservation Area (rock formations, rock climbing),the Valley of Fire State Park (petroglyphs), Mount Charleston (often 30 degrees cooler than the Strip). The National Atomic Testing Museum and the Mob Museum are worth an hour or so.

There is a zip line along Fremont Street, thrill rides atop the Stratosphere Tower and indoor skydiving if you are adventurous.

I noticed the weather forecast for the upcoming weekend includes temps in the 110s.

Enjoy,

DMM

all good ideas, my wife loves warm weather but WOW!

But...she would autograph a photo upon request. :innocent:

The Chocolate Factory is fun and you get free samples! AND they have an awesome Cacti Garden there as well.
The NY NY is in a good location...you can walk almost anywhere from there, and it will get you to the monorail which you can also putter around on to the different casinos, etc... If you are going to attempt to go out during the daytime, TAKE LOTS OF WATER. Those temps will dry you and fry you fast!!! 😮

If you're into fine dining Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill at Caesar's is about as good as anyplace I've ever eaten.

I'm with you. I don't gamble nor drink very much. I walked through a lot of casinos (it's hard not to), up and down the Strip and did a lot of people watching. There are some STRANGE people that live/visit there. My wife was in classes during the days when I was there so I was on my own. I walked and checked out places for us dine and shows to see. Enjoy.

Forgot to mention, if you like comedy, Rich Little appears to be a fixture at the Tropicana, and Brad Garret has a comedy club in the MGM Grand (both at the same intersection with NYNY). We were thinking about going to see Mr. Little, but that night Mr. Garret was actually at his club. Another thing if its in your tastes, the Bellagio has a fine arts museum with changing exhibits. Even though you don't gamble sign up for Mlife, you can get discounts on tickets and any time you make a purchase you add to your rewards.

Just have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
