I need to print some PDFs of plats at 24"x36" and 18"x 24". I use primo PDF for my other stuff but I can't select anything larger that 11"x15".
Anyone know of a (preferably free)PDF software that will go big?

I use PDF ReDirect and can print any size I want.

I do have an issue with lines through contour labels, but I think it's a cad problem...

I use deskPDF at the office and it will print 24x36 on my HP 500. It had a liberal trial period and I liked it enough to buy it cause the price was reasonable.

We've used CutePDF for years. Can't beat the price.

PDF X-Change - it's free.
I had a thing that was 3' x 2' and I printed it out on about 14 8x11 pages and just taped them togehter.

Primo will do it. Change your custom postscript page size under printers to whatever you want and print using that as the sheet.

I do it all the time n

Once you get this figured out please let us know how you plotted them to the proper scale...

Thanks

In primo, all of mine plot to the proper scale.

Interesting - I've NEVER been able to print a PDF file to scale. Have to use trial and error to get close...

Kris

When you make a pdf file it is a file that is to scale for the size of paper you choose.

When you print the pdf file, select the correct paper size and select NONE on the page scaling.

Yep - and it ALWAYS prints at 103% or 96% or something close to, but not exactly 100%. ALWAYS...

Sounds like an issue with the printer and not with the making of the pdf. FWIW, I do not have this problem with my HP500 or Richo MP2500. They always print at 100%. I have had one client who regularly expressed this problem to me, and what he found out was an update with adobe or something was causing the problems but it wasn't on the creation end of it.
