I was out of town last week and forgot to renew my license.
This was a grave and egregious error on my part.
Evidently, the state is so fubared that once you miss the due date, you have to speak to a person to renew. It appears that there is only 1 person up there answering the phone. You cannot be place on hold. You cannot leave a message. You cannot contact them by email and ask to call you. The only choice you have is to keep calling every few minutes.

You could go to Springfield in person.
Yes it was an error, compounded by the fact it is Illinois. :'( The home of ..... nope, ain't gonna do it, too political.

I did mine on line with a credit card, but it could be since the experation date was about 3 days ago, it got more complictated.
