As a Southern born and bred descendant of Confederate soldiers, I must say not my thing.

Nor is it mine by any means.

Being a white boy can be sooo much fun at times. I could do without the mud, but I'm sure the camaraderie and conversation is top notch.

Now hold my Bud Light and watch this......

I can not imagine any Surveyor who has worked in rural areas in the South who has spent hours getting stuck trucks out of the mud that would spend their spare time looking for mud.

That yaller Waffle House splotch in the area around the Oklahoma Panhandle area is puzzling. There are more people trying to cross Pennsylvania Avenue on foot between noon and one than live in the entire area shown in that yaller splotch.

The "Awful House", as Money Penny & I refer to it, is special occasion dining for the 2 of us. We have hit Waffle Houses all over the country. I am here to tell you "there are no Waffle Houses anywhere near Baja Oklahoma (the panhandle)".

If there were, I would have eaten there several times..(burp)

A McDonald's biscuit is about as authentic as Bubba's Sushi. He is the guy next to the bait shop. A better representation would be the number of Biscuit Barns and such per 1,000 people.

Interesting, SWMBO and me usually dine at Denny's or Krystal for our Anniversary. For our 45th Anniversary we pulled out all stops, and splurged that memorable night at Cracker Barrel !!!

Opie's is a help yourself to all you can eat buffet style place. That's a whopping big night on the town for people in the sticks. Much better than McDonalds, Sonic or Subway. Sometimes we go all out and take in a movie at the four-plex with 10 or fewer paying customers in each theater most of the time.

There are things being sold as biscuits across this land that is nothing more than glue crust to choke down with some beverage.

Had everyone feasted upon a true southern made buttermilk biscuit they would never allow such an abomination.

Although I don't care much for them, Carl's Jr. (use to be Hardee's) actually MAKES their biscuits from real ingredients...but they're way too greasy for my liking. Near as I can tell, Mickey D's buys their biscuits from Sam's....probably made in China.
