Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.
Enjoy the day, your friends and family, the food, the pie and the TV.
Being a hopeless romantic, thought I might toss in what Ralph Waldo Emerson penned about this Day of Thanks:
For each new morning with its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food,
For love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends.
Everybody enjoy the holiday. I'm gonna go play with my grandsons and show them how to eat pie.
ps - Go Pack, Go!

Read a little item today explaining why we call them turkeys. Apparently, similar critters did not inhabit Western Europe. Centuries ago, Turkish merchants brought guinea fowl into that area as an alternative meat source. The locals referred to those critters as turkeys since they were coming from Turkey. Later, when Western Europeans began to inhabit North America, they discovered similar looking critters and labeled them "turkeys".
Similarly, snow geese were labeled "swans" and ground hogs were labeled "marmots". It took some time to correct the misnomers.
