Been working as technical advisor for several Low Power FM (LPFM) Radio Stations in the Northern NH over the last couple years.
Today the FCC granted their first approvals in over a decade and one of my submittals got construction approval! The local Boys and Girls Club will be able to broadcast at 89.1 Mhz FM and do their own radio shows, broadcast local sporting, community events, interviews, music etc!
Looks like the other Construction Permits should follow along over the next few weeks. I heard horror stories, but the FCC has been great to deal with. We had some opposition from the local commercial radio stations, but the FCC saw through the attempts to block us and gave us the approval.
:good: :good:
Outstanding! Love to hear any win/win situations these days, who knows, maybe you have put the tools in the hands of the next Paul Harvey.
Major kudos, hope it goes well.

Not quite; KDRT (Davis, CA) launched in September of 2004. The big regional broadcasters -- including the Sacramento NPR station -- protested, but to no avail.
That's cool but....
Where's the syrup?? :woot:

Spent yesterday in the woods repairing saplines for the upcoming season. Should be tapping trees in another 6 or 7 weeks!
I stand corrected!
I guess I should have said the last LPFM filing window as over a decade ago. Looks like the actually approval process dragged on a little past that.
