That is one resolution I hope to never make. It would have to be a forced decision.

I am going to try to give up most sodas. Only ones I will drink are root beer and ginger ale. I think I could do it if I put my mind to it. 🙂

The only resolution I ever kept was to never make another resolution.
I'm guessing I've managed that one for about 30 years now.

Haven't had a cup of coffee since late-June 1976. Really. Don't miss it one bit.

My LDS friends tell me the same thing about giving up the coffee :coffee:. They don't miss it one bit!!

I dunno if I could give up my Dr. Pepper but I am going to try this year!! :hi5:

The only thing sodas are good for are mixers

Sprite, lime & vodka

Coke & whiskey

Root Beer & dutch chocolate ice cream

Switch to a sugarless energy drink like "Red Bull". It gives you a boost with about as much caffeine as a cup of coffee and it has a high amount of niacin and other B vitamins that actually open up your arteries and veins and energize you. Niacin has also been shown to actually reduce plaque in your arteries.

It also mixes well with Jagermeister to make a Jager bomb. I have never had one, but the guys and girls at pool league swear by them.:-)

There's an INSANE amount of sugar in soda. Very unhealthy on a regular basis. I gave up sugary sodas a few years ago and now I can't even stand the taste-too sweet.

Nothing wrong with a little coffee in the morning, sans sugar of course.

Cayenne Pepper and Garlic also are great natural substances that help open up and clean out your veins and arteries. 🙂

Merlin,

Having just had an employee who went from Red Bull up the chain of energy drinks to the alcohol/energy drinks. Said employee is no longer employed by me.

If you watch the "Deadlest Catch", Capt. Phil was living on Red Bulls. There was one scene on last years shows with a case of open Red Bulls on the deck behind his chair. Besides owning a surveying business I also own a commercial fishing business. Coffee is the only thing allowed on the boat.

I like the taste of coffee and the kick, but it is really hard on my stomach. I just bought a case of Red Bull as a coffee substitute and when I have finished it i will report back.:-)

I have a friend who started a coffee company. They have free shipping for orders $30 or more. They don't have a huge selection yet but they do have great service.
