As you are no doubt aware I attended the Daytona 500 Race Week.?ÿ The weather was fine and the racing was good.?ÿ I would have tried to get together with you but once you get into the campgrounds it can be tough to get back out or in.
My only complaint is that, while it is still February, I picked up a Love Bug on the way home.?ÿ I thought you had those little buggers under control until, at least, April.?ÿ Luckily it was only one and he/she was on the windshield and not the paint.
I stopped for gas at Buc Ees on the way home.?ÿ That place is a trip.?ÿ Maybe 20,000 square feet of shopping/dining area and at least 200 gas pumps.?ÿ The gas was probably 20 cents per gallon cheaper than anywhere else I saw.

We do, but they are only supposed to be let out for exercise in June and October, must have been a renegade escapee. ?????ÿ
Leave it to them truck boys for a loooooooong finish. ?????ÿ
And Bubba is STILL bitchin' about second place............ ?????ÿ
@flga-2-2 And Keselowski tried to kill half the field.?ÿ He knows how to drive but he pushes the corner instead of the center.?ÿ He's probably lucky that Jeff Burton didn't come look him up for wrecking his son like that.?ÿ That is probably the most destroyed car I've seen in 50+ years of watching racing, and the driver just dropped the net and got out.
Andy
"and the driver just dropped the net and got out."
And that, is why they have no problem trying to "kill" one another at 190+ mph. ?????ÿ
Looks like a similar problem to the mayflies, particularly along the Mississippi River, where I've heard stories of people not being able to see through their windshields and the roads being slippery during a mayfly hatch.
@bill93 Kinda similar.?ÿ When they dry on the paint of your car you may take the paint off trying to remove them.?ÿ You'll see lots of Florida natives (or at least those that live there) with deflectors and bras on the front of their vehicles when the Love Bugs come out.?ÿ I've heard all kind of preventative measures from putting on Pam cooking spray to putting an application of paste wax without buffing it off.
Andy
Last time I had an encounter with the Love Bug, it costs a whole lot more than a dirty windshield. You got out lucky.
Mormon Crickets are a problem when they're swarming; they make the roads slick.
