I have one of those. The screen image is clear and crisp.

There is an auxiliary power kit that is available separately that includes battery pack upgrade and car charger and power cord that will save a lot of money in the long run.

Boy that ticks me off. I just purchased one in October($300) as a replacement for an older PN 20. I was forced to upgrade to the PN 40 as the PN 20 was not win 7 compatible. Lost all the USGS data, way points and previously stored routes etc. as the PN 40 cannot read the older files.

I used to think they were a great company based in Maine with US tech support, but these latest shenanigans and forced upgrades have soured me.

I have been running Topo 6.0 and a LT-20 on Windows 7 without any problem.

I started running Street Atlas Deluxe with the old battery operated L-1 receiver in 2001, upgraded in 2006 to the LT-20 with Topo & Street Atlas USA 2007. I am going to upgrade again to the PN-40. Can't beat the price. Not as fancy as the 60's, but not near as expensive either.

:good:

I have tried Delorme before and was not satisfied with their customer support. No call backs. They are located in the next town over and I went right to the source for customer support, but as it turned out, I knew more about their product than the support people did. The physical units are indeed good, but without good documentation and support it just isn't worth it. However, at 125 it may be worth another look.
