The box proudly proclaims: Wheat bran cereal with raisins.

So far I have found two raisins in the box. Truth in advertising? If this were a different brand the claim of "two scoops" might also appear on the box. Does one raisin in each scoop qualify as "two scoops"?

There's a possibility what you're looking for is at the bottom of the box..

Turn the box upside down (prior to opening the packaging) and shake the fire out of it. What raisins are in there will then be a the top! Then again, there just may not be any raisins in there. Check the box for wording like: 10% Real Fruit Used To Protect Reputation.

Or you should visit a raisin farm in SoCal where they dry them outdoors on elevated screen beds. You'll get that nonsense outa your head quick. 😉

Bird poop?

That's the secret ingredient that goes in the 50-some huge black kettles cooking up navy beans every summer for the old soldiers and sailors reunion since 1877.

> Bird poop?

That's it! They meant to say "TWO POOPS" instead of "TWO SCOOPS"...

It may be ok. What is the 95% confidence interval for the number of raisins in a box of raisin bran?

> on elevated screen beds.

LOL

In the Central Valley, the picked bunches are dried on brown paper squares in the ground in the rows where the grapes were picked. Once dried, the workers fold the rasins up in the paper and toss them in a bag.

“Deep thoughts while munching on some Raisin Bran”
or:
“I “accidentally” wandered into the Medicinal pasture by mistake”

Yes I feel your concern. I have often pondered similar consumables such as “Beggin Strips”. (How much Bacon is really in those chewy appetizers anyway?) But I digress.

However, and correct me if I’m wrong, I seem to remember a certain Veterinarian suggesting you refrain from “raisin” consumption as it promotes additional copious amounts of methane to the already bilious amounts currently expelled by your Holiness.

😉 B-)

Did you notice the reversal

.....from Pork & Beans on the label to Beans and Pork on the label. I suppose a 3/8" x 3/8" x 3/8" cube of pork fat is pork.....but just barely.

Methane is my life. If I ain't blowin' out one end, I'm blowin' out the other.

methane anyone?

> Methane is my life. If I ain't blowin' out one end, I'm blowin' out the other.

I too am a fan of methane self-generation. It keeps me occupied if I've got a Bic lighter handy.

My best ingredients:

Chili beans with raw broccoli, washed down with a serving of crab cake...yummm. +o(
