My LinkedIn employment history requires you to go back to the last century to find when I held a position entitled "Party Chief".?ÿ
So when you contact me to say that your client has an open Party Chief position and my "profile is very relevant to the positions requirements" what we have here is a failure in reading comprehension.?ÿ

question: LinkedIn
they are more tenacious than the IRS, or even the Ca. Franchise Tax Board. Is there a method to completely remove myself from their system? I have blocked all the email addresses they send from, but it appears that they continually get around it.

classic!
(I pity those that don't get it)
Yes, LinkedIn is a pain...I rue the day I joined LinkedIn.
I do Facebook but I've declined to join any of the others except in a weak moment I joined LinkedIn, mistake.
My classification is "Transportation Surveyor Party Chief (Caltrans)" although I don't work for Caltrans.
I did use it when I was solo to hunt for potential clients (specifically solo PE's).?ÿ
Paired up with one guy for about $50,000 worth of work at the low point of the recession through it, so I can't curse it too much.?ÿ
Hotel California about 50 years ago. ?ÿDo I win a prize?
I was pleased to learn that I qualified for an instrument operator position. Good to see that 42 years of experience with 33 years in upper management?ÿand I am still good for something. I assume that the party chief position requires at least a Master's.

HOLY COW! Holy Cow, it was almost 50 years ago wasn't it?

""Hotel California" is the title track from the Eagles' album of the same name and was released as a single in February 1977." wikipedia
help me out with the math please
a few years ago we stayed at the Hotel California, Camalu, Baja. (there are several others with the same name in greater Baja).
The woman at the desk had owned it for many years, and knew the song well, but had no English skills.
I played this video for her on my phone
at about 4:20 her jaw dropped and she went into uncontrollable laughter. It is now the talk of Camalu
@peter-ehlert Apparently Youtube blocks that video for folks north of the border.?ÿ I get a message that says, "This video contains content from UMPG Publishing, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds."
@stephen-ward darn, sorry. nice video, original soundtrack, but with English and Spanish subtitles.
at 4:20 is the verse "You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave." that really cracked her up. The subtleties are not lost in translation.

Actual field value uses the following metric; ?ÿ44yrs of showing up to work - 33yrs in the office = 9yrs of redeemable utility .. roughly an I-man. ?ÿ ??ÿ

Timewise I believe I was thinking of "California Dreaming". ?ÿBrain farts are increasing in frequency.
Mr. Cow: after brain farts like that please grab some paper, then head for the shower.

If you can't make the jump from I-Man to PC in a few years, most likely you never will. You can't effectively supervise field crews without staying proficient with the field work. The important survey work is done in the field.?ÿ When management loses sight of this, the quality will take a nose dive.?ÿ Of course, the OP is about Head Hunters being clueless.?ÿ?ÿConsidering a PC with 42 years of progressive experience for a I-Man position would be equally clueless.?ÿ

Well hell yes! After being stuck in the office for 33yrs, that I-man job has got to look pretty plum right about now.?ÿ
