Oregon goes down, clemson goes down, ok state goes down, Oklahoma losing to Baylor ... Could be 3 sec teams at the top of the standings tomorrow.
Also, the fsu and Virginia game had a great ending. I looked like the Noles had lost the game 4 times ... kept getting the game extended by penalties and reviews, then missed a FG To loss for real ....
Looks like Oklahoma just lost ...
Oregon State won. That's pretty crazy.
A few weeks back we were debating Big 12 vs SEC. I pointed out the weak schedule of Alabama versus the very difficult schedule of Iowa State. Now Iowa State comes through as the giant-killer of the week by knocking off #2 Oklahoma State. Next week they get #5 Oklahoma, followed by #13 Kansas State in their final regular season game.
Looks like the SEC has all but assured themselves a 6th straight BCS title. There are a couple of unlikely senarios where two SEC teams could get knocked out of the top 3.
OU losing to Baylor is probably the biggest shocker. You have to hand it to Baylor they played a heck of a game. The game went right down to the last seconds and just when it looked like OU was going to drive a stake through the heart of the Baylor fans fate intervened... Sometimes its just your night and nothing can take it away from you. Congrats Baylor!

The contrary can be shown in all your postulating as far as scheduling.
Great game by Iowa State to take out the No. @ OSU in Double OT at home. Their second OT win at home this season. You can't look away from a 4 game losing streak but they have rebounded which shows thathey are a good team.
IMO, OT wins should be considered drwas and not wins. he whole OT process is contrived BS to find a winner.
As for Bama's schedule, look at the pre-season polls for ranked teams.
To finish the season in the Iron Bowl against the previous National Champions is not light scheduling.
It looks like there are many 1 loss teams who have some cred and right to argue about who, what, where and when.
Just finished this book recently with interesting research into momentum and home field advantage. Pretty good read.

My choice for a BCS game at this time would be OSU Cowboys vs Bama/LSU. all teams with one draw.
of course all that can turn on a dime next weekend.
BTW. That lil RB from local HS Mandeville who signed with KSU prior to his senior year ran for 238 yards in the second round of the playoffs this weekend. I think they were a 16 or so seed but now are moving into the 1/4 finals.
The No. 1 seed lost to the 32 seed 2 weeks ago. BIG upset... stuff happens!
Never put anything past Arkansas when it comes to competing for "The boot", it is not at all going to be a gimme for LSU, but none the less, I will be dining on pork come Friday night.
You were debating, we were chuckling. 🙂
Even if LSU loses, they could still end up in the BCS title game, since we're now debating which one-lose teams get to go. Say, LSU loses to ARK, then Bama loses to UGA ... could be LSU - ARK rematch in the title game ... depends on what the BCS computers think.
Yeah, I know, but still, it is going to be a long week here in Louisiana.
