at least by our California standards where 6" of snow on a car at Donner Pass is a huge news story.
The cats are getting very snuggly today. Sit down, cat on lap, cat squeezed up against a leg, etc.

hehehe that is cute!! Animals think they are people. :cat: My cat does the same thing, plus she's getting IN the bed more now with the fluffly warm blankies. Summertime is totally opposite. She wants the cool sheets. My dog could care less, she ALWAYS wants the bed.
6inches or 6 feet?! Isn't that real close to Truckee?? Know some people that live there...dunno HOW they do it but they love it there. 🙂
It was only 36 here this morning around sunrise.
Got a good sleeting Friday as well.
A light snow has been falling here in VT. since 4:00 AM. Now it is changing over to sleet. Kids are praying for a school closure. Guess the buses will be running much to their chagrin.
36 here again right now.

It's about 39° here now, but it's supposed to get up to about 55° (maybe 59° in a very few spots) around here, maybe a little breeze. We're supposed to be in the mid-60's all week, so I'm sure not going to complain about that... I'd like to keep the snow away as long as possible, and overall to as little as possible... last year about killed me (mentally) with all the snow we had, and for how long it lingered around.
sure sign of global warming
My wife picked up a new outdoor thermometer from Wallyworld to replace the one I broke, and the darned thing only went down to 0 deg F! We have at least a couple dozen mornings when the temps is in the negative numbers.
Sleet This Morning in NYC
Had to meet a crew in the south part of Brooklyn. On the way back, driving across the Brooklyn Bridge we got a bit of sleet.
Turned to rain going uptown to the GW Bridge, and then back into sleet in NJ.
Glad the marathoners had almost perfect weather yesterday.
Winter is here.
It was a chilly 36° on the deer stand Saturday morning. It warmed up to 70°.
About an hour east and 3000' higher than Dave, it was almost frosty out this morning. Thank goodness it was not quite frosty because with the fog that moved through leaving a lot of moisture on the ground, black ice would have been a problem.
It sure is, Dave. It has plunged into the 50’s and 60’s here. Heaters are going full tilt and SWMBO is insisting I visit Costco for firewood. It comes in a yellow box with “DuraFlame” written on the outside. It has warmed up to 70+/- today, so maybe I won't have to make the sojourn to Costco after all, at least not today.
Our cat is "snugly" all the time, she spends all her awakening hour trying how to figure out how to sleep more than 23 hours a day. 😉
Have a great week!
It was frosty and fogging on my morning duck hunting scout trip in the Atchafalayia Basin:
Will work on the embedding thingy...can not embed from office.

I'm with you, Carl!!!! The snow is pretty but it's a nuisance and the longer it stays away the better. 😐
