I am running Carlson Survey 2009 with AutoCad 2008 on Windows 7.

When I have a drawing open and I hit the open folder to open another drawing, I immediately get a Fatal Error message. Does anyone know a fix for this?

re-boot
if that doesn't work, re-install...

evil windows 7

can you run CAD 08 natively in 7? did you have to change the mode down to XP SP3? I had to do that to get CAD 06 to run in 7. find the program, right click on it, properties, compatibility, run this program in compatibility mode for Windows XP service pack 3.

or you can choose vista (cold chills run through my fingers and spine)

this may fix your problem, if not, i would try reinstalling CAD. trying an overwrite may fix it or you can go extra safe and uninstall, then reinstall. hopefully the compatibility works out.

Compatibility between ACAD2008 and Windows7 is shaky. Have you loaded ACAD in compatibility mode? That should help. I believe that ACAD2009 is the first version that is fully Windows7 compliant.
