Right here with you.?ÿ Except I'm on CDT.?ÿ

There's something about the dark pre-dawn quiet that fascinates me.?ÿ Even the crickets are quiet.

I was born at around 10 pm. I'm up almost always around 4 or 4:30am. I wasn't always like that but for some reason when I turned 40 my internal clock changed time zones or something. I've always been most productive the first few hours I'm awake even if the actual time I wake up changes. Your mileage may vary.

@stacy-carroll

That's been my experience too.?ÿ 6:30am is sleeping in very late.?ÿ Rarely do I need an alarm.

I was born at 7:30am on a Sunday morning.

Born 8:39 pm, always up with coffee to watch the sun rise then join the rest of the idiots on I-4 for an 11 mile jaunt that takes 40 minutes IF it ain't raining. If it is raining the "jaunt" could take anywhere from 40 min to a day or so. (sigh)?ÿ

So 4:30am again and here I am drinking coffee again in the wee hours of the morn and coming back to this post again as it reminds me of one of my earliest memories.

My grandparents on my dad's side lived in a little Italian, German and Hungarian immigrant community called Bretz, WV which was just a few miles from Masontown. The federal government brought in a lot of folks from that area of the world to WV to work the mines and railroads.

My grandfather spoke Italian as a first language and my grandmother spoke Magyar as a second language except for when she got angry at which point she would let fly.?ÿ

During the summer I would go up there and spend a few weeks and in the morning I would sit at the table with grandad in the early morning and drink coffee with him. My grandmother made smooth coffee, not this undrinkable crap that you find at Starbucks, but smooth and she would always put some cream and sugar in it for me.

Those early mornings continued until he was killed in a coal mine collapse. I still drink my coffee that way, nice and smooth with cream and sugar, just the way grandma made it.

@just-a-surveyor

I can only remember a couple times in recent history that my alarm actually went off (it's set for 5:00). I slept until 4:40 this morning, which is a bit later than usual. I blame it on the heat. My Dad was always up before daylight and I remember sitting at the table in the mornings drinking the best coffee in the world with him. No coffee will ever taste as good.?ÿ

My grandpa also spoke Italian as a first language. I use to speak it fluently as a little child, but...after he passed I had no one to practice it with and so I forgot 98% of it. ???
I still remember the bad words, though! ?????ÿ
As for the Morning and Night people stuff...
Left-Handed Virgo here. (9-13-1970)
I was born at 8:23 a.m. I have NEVER been a morning person! I do my best work at night.
When I am Moderating, I can get a lot more done at night when people are mostly asleep.
When I am with dying patients, 95% of my patients "pass" during the hours of 1 am and 6 am. Rarely do I have any that pass before or after these hours.
And...For some odd reason I am up early right now. Probably because my cats were hungry and bake bread on top of me until me or their poppa gets up to feed them. ????ÿ
