10:54 PM - House shook big time! I bet it was at least a 5.0!

It was rockin here in Mustang! I was sitting at my desk and this was the biggest quake I've ever felt here. I was born in CA and lived out there through some pretty big shakers...If this wan't a 5 it was damn close to it...or it the epicenter had to be really close by. It shook hard enough to wake my wife up.

All circuits are dead...I guess everyone is trying to call everyone else. I can't get out on my cell. LOL

Didn't feel anything here, despite claims by others early this morning of having felt that one.

Our house shook pretty good...I just found out Money Penny doesn't like earthquakes..no immediate damage that I can see. I'll check for cracks when the sun comes up, I guess.

News9 reports OGS says it was a 5.2 Nothing compared to what folks get in more seismically active regions, but pretty darn big for here. Makes me think about the 1803 quake on the New Madrid fault.

Note to self: check our insurance policies to see if they cover earthquake damage.

Your insurance does NOT cover earthquake unless you specifically added that coverage. I did, and in Iowa where they are rarer than Oklahoma the premium was more than the sewer backup premium and there was a 10% deductable.

Ate breakfast with a neighbor this morning who reported he felt the earthquake last evening. This would be 170 miles from the epicenter. His house has a basement in solid rock and his bedroom was on the second floor of the frame house. A grandfather's clock made little dinging noises and the lampshade on the lamp next to his bed danced a bit. It was enough he woke his wife to ask if she had felt anything. She told him he was imagining things. Their clock said 10:59 at the time. Their daughter and grandchildren live in OKC so they will be getting input from there to report at church this morning.

My wife came in to the LR asking if I felt that. I would have had to have been dead to not feel it. I'm with Bob. Approximately a 5. Epicenter was near Meeks from what I heard later.
