I just “rooted” (whatever that means) my new nook tablet. Well actually I just bought a pre-programmed mini sd card that did everything automatically. (I am totally incapable of understanding computerspeak directions). Anyway if any of y’all know of any surveying apps or other cool apps I sure would appreciate a heads up!

I do like my hp48 app, but that might not count. I've tried a couple of alleged survey apps, but nothing I like yet. I look forward to seeing what others recommend.
Find a control is handy, and rpncalc rocks, and since you're rooted don't forget cyanogenMod as a new ROM!

Sorta, it tells you what is near and you can get the NGS datasheet too, all on a map or satellite photo.
