Daryl,

great to hear (and see) where you're hanging out.
Turkey looks fun in the first pics! Hope the last was shot in the Madame Tussaud's wax museum and not someone preparing for the New Years Night fireworks.

Thanks for sharing
&
a Happy and healthy New Year for you & Mary.

Christof.

Daryl, what the heck is that last one? Daryl the bomber?
Somehow, I did not think of you like that!

Check out Midnight Express and you will see why you should behave in Turkey.

yep..Midnight Express ... I'm not much of a drug smuggler but when I told people I was heading to Turkey they always asked if I'd seen the flick . Screenplay by Oliver Stone.

Hung out in a boat on the Bosphorus today and hoping to shoot the New Years eve fireworks tonight.

Daryle
Maybe I'll see you at the PLSO convention the end of this month?

Christof
Pretty funny post.
new topic: I've been emailing with a TGO user in Iran at the University. He was trying to use John Hamilton's FixDatTGO along with your RinexDates but they are no longer compatible. Maybe John will see this post and edit his program to make them compatible once again. The Iranian said he had TGO running in Win 8. He is the first person I have heard of that is doing that.

Great song Radar...it was competing with the call to prayer outside the window 🙂
Loved the visual.

Yeah the Light Festival is a must see!
But they changed from an annual to a bi-annual festival, so next chance is 2014.

Enjoy the fire works tonight!

Well, that is interesting. Any movie that is based on a true story, is better than one that is not. One of my faves is called "Touching the Void".

may be because one of the programs does not account for odd years.

In this 2013 both should be ok 🙂 - just my assumption, - my friend complained about 1 day dereference between the programs outputs last (odd) year.

happy new (even) year !!

John's program doesn't account for 2012 as a leap year the same as Christof's program. Both programs work very well by themselves. The user can no longer use them together.

I haven't tried any 2013 files yet though.

I will check with my friend. Both programs run on my Win XP PC without interfering each other, but I do not have trimble and rinex data from the same day to try them out.

.. that Daryl's picture with those flat eyes sold on the river bank is something... 🙂 (must be dried eye fish or something) :). I heard it has the same effect as knocking wood 🙂

I didn't mean that the two programs had problems with each other if they were both installed on the same machine.
In the past before the leap year occurred in 2012,a user could take a .dat file and run it through John's program then take another simultaneously collected file and run it through Christof's program and expect them to be compatible timewise. Now, since leap year occurred, the two programs don't deliver the same date offset.

Great Pics! SWMBO lived in Golcuk while her Dad was stationed there with NATO. Does SHE ever have some wild tales about Turkey.

Happy New Year to you and Mary! B-)
