To the weather service.

We had an event to go to Saturday and the weather was not looking great.
Watching the forcast we tried to time everything so that it would work.
And everything happened just like they predicted, instead of staying Saturday night for parties we drove a few hundred miles and Sunday morning found us driving home in snow, but like they predicted not sticking snow.

This is what we left behind and instead of being home sunday morning we would have still been trapped behind closed highways:

It's a real mess, not sure when we would have gotten home if we stayed like we had planned.

I was out west for the first time two weeks ago. It was an eye opening experience that they are still experiencing snow and winter weather.

I was in the pool yesterday opening it up. It was almost 90 degrees here.

Grumble Grumble... I'm still shoveling snow for this a.m., the third time since Saturday. Wet thick and heavy stuff. I-80 was closed this weekend from Rawlins to Cheyenne (150 miles). Reservoirs will be full this year and hopefully full of Cutbows. 🙂

I-25 this morning:

What a mess, not unheard-of for May 12th, but enough is enough this year!!

Reservoirs are full everywhere, streams are running high, and snow pack is way over average.

It could be the test year for the new flood maps around here; if we get rain.

Jeez, Mighty, an "Old Home Week" picture. Spent many a day out working in this kind of weather just to get the job done.
