I, for one, am totally in favor of high waisted jeans - in certain circumstances.?ÿ Or, hip-hugger bellbottoms. Yeah, they're good, too.
Better than the lo-cut, bare midriff style that went around later??
I like NB shoes
A couple of years ago I drove into the carpark of the local hardware megastore, in one of those weird uncomfortable situations where a fellow shopper is arriving in parallel and you end up doing things simultaneously. In this case it extended to us getting out of our wagons at exactly the same time and needing to adjust the position of our trousers from the constraints of the car seat, for the walk across the carpark to the store. However, at that point I was a step behind this fellow, and I could see that he was a generation younger, and while I hitched up my britches so that the waist band was above my hips, to stop them falling down, he pulled his pants down so that the belt was slung below the low side of his underdungs, and off he waddled into the store. Cool man.
When I was a young guy surveying I was often wearing my hat backwards so the brim didn't hit the instrument. Sideways too.
The girls would see me and flock to me,,,,,,,,,well in my daydreams I was cool.
Still wear my hat backwards sometimes, old habits.?ÿ
Back then it was older paunchy guys and plumbers who were really cool, their pants were always down, I never understood how cool they were. Imagine if I could have figured it all out then.

@holy-cow shorts are 'uniform' in summer except when in briars.?ÿ Schoolmate got rich from flip flops but I traded mine for keen sandals which work well in the field.?ÿ My '56 speedster caught fire and burned up while on loan during college.?ÿ This boomer is thinks it cool to still be working and still have a drivers license.?ÿ Was it the superintendent who drove the new porsche?
@hpalmer?ÿ
Nope.?ÿ It was the jeweler.?ÿ In the Summer months he may show up on his Hog.
@jonathan50 Me too.?ÿ With my extra wide feet and tall instep they were the only ones who made tennis shoes to fit me for a long time.
