Our Indiegogo campaign ends this Thursday at midnight PST. We really, really appreciate your amazing support thus far via the campaign and some offline contributions. We're amazingly close to our $15k stretch goal that allows us to attend and participate in the ESRI conference in San Diego in July 2015. As I've mentioned before, this would give us the opportunity to explore new marketing opportunities and maybe even a chance to bring in new advertisers.
Overall, the goal of this campaign isn't just to make us financially stable and pay our bills. It's also a way for us to grow and improve upon the great base we already have. We see all of this as a win-win for all of us and are excited for our future!
Another thing to keep in mind is that 3 of our perks involved building a website for you. You aren't just helping us, we're helping you improve the web side of your business. So check out our website perks on the campaign page!
Once again, THANK YOU for all you've done thus far. 🙂

I recently fell into some money out of Mom's estate. Nothing huge but it was 4 digits. I pondered what to do with it. Probably just sit on it.
I was thinking to dump you $100 but don't know how to do it since I have no cards or bank accounts.
Stuff a "Franklin" in a thank you card could work. I signed the check over to a friend but his bank is telling him they want a notarized document saying I singed it over. What the frack?! Perhaps he was trying to cash it instead of just deposit it. I don't want that kind of cash hanging around anyhow.
Now I'm wondering did he take to a bank instead of his credit union. Credit unions aren't so anal about such things has been my experience.
We'll see.

Give someone a hundred that will use their credit card.

I got no problem with that so long as they donate while I watch - just to be sure.

No worries, man. We know your heart is in the right place. Don't stress out over it. 🙂

I got plenty more to stress out other than this.
Thanks for the concern.

Tried to contribute, but must be a firewall issue on my end. I'll try later at home.

Ok, I just barely got in under the wire but that's been happening a lot lately.
I would like to say a few words about why I contributed. I live in a rural area with very little interaction with other surveyors. Our equipment dealer is 150 miles away. Most of everything I have learned about new technology/equipment/software I have learned here or years ago before this site, on RPLS.com with people that are here now.
I have had people talk me through buying our first set of GPS equipment. I would be stuck with SCS900 now if it hadn't been for the advice of people on this board. Sending in my first opus file. The NGS site is great but I don't think I would have ever gotten the file in the correct format without help here.
Most recently was getting a file converted. I requested a dwg file from an engineer but it took a week to get a dgn. I sent it to a member in Tennessee and get it converted the same day (Thanks Stephen).
Anytime I have a question, someone here has an answer. It's not always the answer that I wanted but it's almost always the correct answer. I know I get more out of this forum than I could ever give.
This site is a valuable resource. Wendell and Angel made that happen.
Thanks,
James

Thank you for the thorough feedback. It is comments like this and all of the great feedback that keeps us going. Sure, the money helps in a big way, but it's more about the community and supporting this great profession. 🙂
