I just want to take a moment to introduce myself. I am currently working towards getting my license in the state of Tennessee and I have previously worked in the state of Colorado for about 2 years. I've been surveying for a total of about 10 years now?ÿ though and I am looking to use this site as a resource for learning.

Study, Study, Study!?ÿ Find out which calculators are allowed and learn it like the back of your hand.?ÿ What I found very helpful was tabbing the books you are allowed to take into the open book portion of the exam to quickly find what you need to look at.?ÿ I also found it best to scan through and answer the easy questions first and skip the ones that will take time to answer, then drop back to them to spend the remaining time on them.?ÿ I didn't pass my first exam because I studied hard on the legal end with case law and fell for answering questions as a thought the courts would.?ÿ Once I figured it out, the correct answers were to consult an attorney, and I sailed through it six months later.?ÿ Also, keep in mind that they are looking for the best answer, sometimes, as I experienced, there is no correct answer to some questions.?ÿ Best of luck to you, I passed my exam in 1993, with only 10 years of experience, but, I had some great mentors along the way.
