growing up I knew little or nothing about surveying.
Buh with the little years I have used being an undergraduate and going to field with surveyors on site am doing good in the field

Really?
Really.....
So you are getting your BSC degree in Surveying and are ready to start your career?
Congratulations!!
Surveying is not a job. It is not a set up where, you put in your hours, and pick up your paycheck.
It is a sequence where the more money you make, (within some limits) the more integrity you can have. IF there is not enough money in the job, then you have to sacrifice the integrity of the project. OR sacrifice something.
Surveying is a life of sacrifice. You are going to sacrifice something.
It may be the integrity of the project.
It may be the dinner date, because you worked late.
It may be the family, because you are underpaid.
It may be the sleep, you so dearly need.
It may be you sacrifice the whole job, and let another surveyor do it, because you wanted 1500 for it, and another surveyor will do it for 800. He will either sacrifice his integrity, or his family, or whatever.
Surveying is a life of sacrifice. You will have to decide what. This decision process (of what to sacrifice) is what defines the difference between surveyors.

If there is not enough money in the job then client has to make the ultimate sacrifice...not have me involved in the first place 😀

Fleming, although I hate to admit it, you have what some refer to as superior business acumen. B-)
