Been away for awhile , just sitting on a pipeline asbuilt. Watching them pump water and break drill stems. I love this forum so much to learn and so little time.
Hello from Texas! Welcome back.
Jump right in, the fun is outstanding but the education is even better.
The education is what I need, after almost 30 years of pipeline survey, would like to stay home and get a job at a small survey shop. Take some classes, maybe intern somewhere. No more working 2 or 3 hours at night reducing notes and getting calls from inspectors 7 days a week. It is just a little scary to take that first leap. Been saving for a long time just need to do it.
Howdy superfly,
Peace, love and happiness from NE Texas
Thanks guys
Welcome back, you already know how fun and educational this place is. 😎
I enjoy Surveying an awful lot. I enjoy family, camping, rockhounding and a host of other things more. Make the change and enjoy life...
Welcome back, Tom

Okay, you're from Lake Charles, but were you born in Nacogdoches, by any chance?

"...in a yellow El Camino listening to Howlin' Wolf.." Beautiful lyrics.
I've seen Williams on ACL a few times maybe. Some of her music I don't cotton to very much. Some of it hits dead center and tugs at my heart strings.

I think that Lucinda Williams, like so many other notable things in life, is an acquired taste. It helps to have followed her career and to know a bit about her family in which she was the daughter of the poet, Miller Williams. I personally think that "Down where the Spirit Meets the Bone" is the best of her albums, but you may prefer "Car Wheels on a Gravel Road".
