I met Gabby Hayes, when I was younger. He was always one to spin a yarn. He lived on the west side of Hwy 41, south of Oakhurst, Calif. My dad would always give him a ride, and he'd have his tin cup, for coffee. My dad got on to him, one time, for "Filling my head with ideas".

I blame Gabby for my liking of stories!

Very appropriate name for a surveyor.

It reminded me of the Flatt family ... who ran a chain of tire stores around here. Truth.
