Seems like there was a thread about online geomatics degrees this morning, that I can no longer find. I had made a response to the thread pointing out a spammer, but it was just about one first time poster, not the whole thread. I hope that wasn't the reason it was removed.

I'm looking for the thread too, as earlier this morning I was about to make a copy for file as a reference to a professor of 'surveying science'.
Note Geomatics attracts the red wiggly 'you spelled it wrong' under word icon, as the spell checker for common words so finds it as being an unknown or spelled incorrectly.
It is a guaranteed turn off for the Great Unwashed IMVHO, as persons think it is a geo-disease more than a profession.

I think "geomatics" is a banned word. (and some consider online-degrees obscene);-)
It was indeed spam. It was not what you think it was. It was a link to a site where you can conduct online surveys of your clients. It had nothing to do with land surveying and truly was a spammer.
never mind.....
My bad. I thought the original post was authentic and a spammer had jumped in. Thanks for clearing that up.
