Great news, but how does a site like this grow except for word of mouth? PB has the magazine and that generates more traffic on RPLS.com. I spied on the old site today and I noticed a lot of new names who probably don't even know that this site exists.
I guess that those of us who want this site to grow need to post more to "strictly surveying" to attract new people. Also there were some old RPLS posters who seem not to post to either site. It would be nice to seem them come over here. I can think of a few such as Andy Nadeau that would fit well here.
I wonder what Noodles and Wendall are doing in this respect to get more viewers? My fear is that there are some old RPLS occasional posters who don't know that this site exists.
I think lower numbers are better.
> Do these numbers include the www.surveyorconnect.com hits?
No, I don't think so. There is a separate report for that URL.
BTW in looking for a function to fit to the data, I tried one from pharmacology, the dose-response curve. :>
Here's how that looks as a best-fit curve:
The actual function:
[tex]y = b + (a-b) / (1 + (x/c)^d)[/tex]
Fitting target of sum of squared absolute error = 6.3241912166162040E+06
a = 3.9697024146571224E+04
b = 7.5029097907941020E+08
c = 1.8467878517940384E+00
d = -3.8302262997189618E+00
The above function predicts that BeerLeg.com's US traffic rank will stabilize at slightly under 40,000.
Are the asterisks because of TDD's Avatar (they think the site is on 'roids)?

Wendell is the genius here. He'll have to answer this. He has his ways of attracting more viewers. What he does I can't even explain in proper English. It's all a bunch of web terms. I only know Surf, Internet, Start!! hehehe
> Do these numbers include the www.surveyorconnect.com hits?
No, I have to request that they be merged with BeerLeg.com, which I plan to do soon (assuming it won't hurt the rankings, which is what I'm waiting to find out).
08/15/10: 42,420
Another figure to note is the international traffic ranking: 482,891. We broke the 1/2 million mark and gaining!
