Occasionally I notice a post that looks out of sequence in a thread. These are not comments, but regular posts.
For instance, the thread
OPUS Projects
shows up in Firefox 40.0.3 on Win7 with all the posts from Williwaw (the original poster) first. Other posters do not have their posts grouped. The message number sequence is 1, 13, 15, 2, 3, ...
Is this due to some setting in my profile, a bug, or what?
I know what you mean. I recently looked at a post to a thread that I had made, and it looked like I had ignored the posts above mine, but they came afterwards somehow. I don't know how it works, either, but you aren't alone.
Maybe the code was written by someone who worked on large radial engines 😛
Wow, I had not seen that before. I'll see what I can find out.
Good grief :bored: ... What'd I do this time !?!
I've upset the natural order of things.
Not interested in dominating the discussion like that Wendell.
Lurker mode 'engaged'.
LOL, it's not your fault. It's something weird with the post ordering in the software. No worries. 🙂
While we've got your attention @Wendell, is there a way for the Comment posting to be like the standard posting where you can scroll up and review posts as you compose your own? I've also found out that when Commenting, if you click in the grayed/shaded area surrounding the Comment entry window, your comment disappears. That's frustrating for a slow writer like me. Thanks.
