I'm experiencing a major lag when opening a thread that I wasn't 3 hours ago. New additions maybe???

That's going to be my new user name/alias when I go underground.
But, yes, there is a noticeable lag when loading posts.
I'll keep an eye on it, but I suspect it may be a regional issue. It's blazing fast over here in Oregon. Anyone else noticing the lag?

seems to be back to normal now
Seems to be better, but I suspect facebook is the culprit as those are the little url's at the bottom where it lags. It was taking 40 seconds to load the POB thread below. Any content other than text was a lost cause.
But all is right with the web now. 🙂

I have had periods of sluggishness.

My background protection Alvira will update at any time files are put online and Avast will kick in when files are accessed, downloaded, etc and some programs are set to look for updates on a weekly clock and probably others will be working from time to time in the background.
This will cause temporary slowness.
Any constant slow action I blame on my server for being to overloaded with traffic at times and then other causes may be my temporary file cache or history is loaded and needs to be emptied.
Server Lag can be a major cause.
