are there any log in tricks?
for the last couple days it seems that I frequently need to login again. I always check the "keep me logged in" box.
using FireFox 47.0

not having this problem with other sites...

I had to log in again today, too. I'm hoping it has something to do with the SurveyorConnect redirect, but if not then it's going to be annoying if it happens often.

It should not keep happening. The redirects are permanent, but your browser cache may be confused.

I did some double-checking on the menu items and it seems that some of those may have been set improperly that might cause you to bounce back and forth between https to http versions of the URL -- I have fixed those now though, so hopefully that's where the problem was.

I figured as long as I'm already changing domain names, it would make sense to get all potential changes out of the way all at the same time. That's why I elected to go ahead and install an SSL certificate now. If I had switched you to an https URL later, you would have had the login problems all over again.

So, if you happen to follow a link or something and you notice that there's no lock icon in the browser, please let me know what you clicked on so I can see about fixing it. This really shouldn't happen because I do have a global redirect in place from all http to https, but that doesn't mean there's not a boo-boo in there somewhere. 🙂

Thanks!

I had to log in again this morning after a cold boot. And I'm not seeing an icon lock in the address.

That is bizarre. Have you cleared your cache?

Here's what it looks like after Ctrl-F5:

CTRL F5 doesn't always (read: never) works as advertised, especially in Firefox.

I managed to finesse the redirect a tiny bit more when I thought there couldn't possibly be any more finessin' to do. Not sure it will make any difference in this case though, but it's possible.

Thank you! that works.

Another tip that might help some, is to be sure to keep RPLS Today cookies when running Ccleaner.

darn, it still shows my name and an edit window (this one) but when I press Post Reply it requires me to log in again. BFD, life is short.

Sounds like browser caching to me, but I could be wrong.
