I am trying to share this certain thread below with some non-surveyor connect friends.

I have sent them a copy of the link by copying & pasting from the http://surveyorconenct.... stuff (" http://beerleg.com/index.php?mode=thread&id=197144#p197541 ") at the top of the web page when I have this thread open. Then after I send it I double check myself by clicking the link and it does what I expect it to, it takes me right back to this particular thread.

But when they click the link it just goes to the main page, probably because they are not logged in as members.

Is there some way that I can share this thread with them?

Thanks, Brad

I would say that since they are not signed up to the forum, the only way your link will work if it is only in the surveying category and not humor. If you log out, that is all you would see is the land surveying category. (I think)

Sorry, I wasn't clear. That is what I was doing.

Exactly. Only surveying-related threads are publicly-viewable, so that's why it doesn't work for them.

I meant cut & paste the contents of a BeerLeg page to an email - not just the hyper-link.

Sometimes when we know what we are trying to say it doesn't come out all that clear.

Oh, ten four. That is what I ended up doing in the end.

As always, many thanks to all!
