Is there a way to hide certain forums (like all off-topic, Legal, etc) so they don't show up in the [New Posts] like before. Not that I'm opposed to their existence, I just don't like to mix it with content I'm most interested in.

I don't think there is a way to do that right now, but I'll take a look.
