So I have this facebook group called "POBers" for that other site. Should I change that to "Beer Leg Buds"??

facebook List

I guess I should have said List, not group... I like to sort my friends into lists so I can see what different groups are up to. I have already "liked" the beer leg FB page!

Facebook is not a fad, it is now a way of life.

Adam, I am with you. I am going on 4 years now, as I was one of the first non-edu extension people allowed in the door. It is now my picture sharing site. If you aren't on FB, generally you won't see my pics then.

I do wish they'd quit messing around with it though. I liked it so much better at first. Or maybe after the first or second change, but not the 8 or so tinkerings since.

I totally concur with you here, Carl. Did you know every time they change something you have to go back in manually and fix your settings/privacies? I wish they'd stop tinkering with it. Takes me an hour to fix everything back to private when they do that. UGH!!

Noodles,

I have a fix for the changed privacy settings.

Don't use the site.

That is what I do and will continue to do.

Nor do I Tweet, YouTube, or any of the other "Social Sites".

LOL good fix!! I am not giving up FaceBook, though...I enjoy being able to chat and share things with my BFFs and family. It takes the sting out of not being able to visit as much as I'd like too.

As for any other sites, I'm with you on that. I don't my space, twiddle, utube, etc...Facebook is the only one I use. And Pogo but that is just for games. I enjoy my ad free games.

I am not really "into" facebook, but it is the only way to keep up with my nieces and nephews. When I see them in person, it is hard to get many words out of them of any substance, but on FB they throw it all out for everyone to see.

Screwy world sometimes...

I love facebook. I live far away from most of my family and many many friends, so it's been a great way to get back in touch. I know lots of folks have pages they don't visit, and there's nothing wrong with that. It's also been great since I spend most of my days alone (or with my dog) and I'm a pretty social guy. It's a nice outlet for that.

your results may vary.

I also find it convenient to make plans with a couple of my friends.

I think out of all of my FB friends, Carl Correll is the most prodigious poster.

I think they were talking about my prodigious (excessive) postings. You can tell when I am in the field, and when I am not.
